GDPR Compliance

GDPR Compliance at Cursory Technologies

At Cursory Technologies, we take data protection seriously. Our technology is fully compliant with GDPR, enabling our customers to maintain GDPR compliance while using the Brisk® platform. We facilitate consumer permissions and uphold complete transparency with our clients.

Technical Adherence

Cursory Technologies ensures robust security in both infrastructure and software through regular audits. We avoid redundant data storage and enforce strict controls to prevent local file storage, opting instead for encrypted online storage without local synchronization. Any sensitive information transmitted via email is encrypted, and personally identifiable data is stored for the shortest possible duration. Our backup policy is intentionally concise. We promptly and transparently notify clients in the event of incidents and have a defined process for timely removal of personally identifiable information upon customer request.

Our Essential Steps for GDPR Compliance

To ensure comprehensive data protection, we take key steps, including:

  • Conducting GDPR training and awareness programs for employees.

  • Implementing robust internal processes such as reviewing and documenting stored and processed data.

  • Regularly revising and updating privacy policies and notices.

  • Addressing the rights of Data Subjects, including handling subject access requests.

  • Carefully reviewing the legal basis for data processing, including consent requirements and protection of children’s data.

  • Establishing clear procedures for data breach response and incorporating data protection by design principles.

Request for Data Correction

Our security administrators ensure compliance with GDPR regulatory requirements by locating, modifying, and deleting data upon request.

Right to be Forgotten

Administrators within the Brisk® platform have the capability to permanently delete individual contacts and respondent personal data in accordance with GDPR timelines when requested through a data subject request.

About GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), implemented on May 25, 2018, is a set of EU regulations applicable to companies handling personal data of individuals within the European Union. It aims to enhance and standardize data protection for EU individuals, defining their rights (e.g., right to be informed, right of access) and establishing accountability and governance standards for personal data. It also regulates the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA (European Economic Area).

Complete GDPR Guideline

While Cursory Technologies provides a technology platform that enables our customers to be GDPR-compliant, we recommend that our customers seek their own legal expertise to ensure full GDPR compliance.
